Crime Drama

Chapter 1

"What the hell!"  Judy exclaimed, "We have another whole day before the case closes."
She stretched, reaching the other counter as she fell against the cold floor.

"Well, we don't have a choice in the matter anyway!"  Alaina complained, angrily.  There was a slight awkward silence between them before Judy finally replied.

"Well, I at least make sure they leave us the hell alone!  You know that I do a lot for this house!" Judy started to get up and leave the room, but something stopped her, Today's news.  The front page talked about a little girl being raped  by a man in his 80s and then stabbed her four times in the abdomen.  It was front page news because she was only five years old.  Judy turned to look at her sister,

"Laina, we gotta do something to help her family!"  Implored Judy, as she tried to convince Alaina,  But, she knew that it would take sometime to convince.
******
"Well, don't just stand there, knock!" Alaina barked loudly, trying to hind, that would work.
"Okay, okay! Just let me then!" Judy demanded in a loud tone.  Judy slowly knocked three times and the door opened almost immediately,
"Hello, is this Maxine and Robert Andrews?" questioned Alaina.  The couple looked at each other and replied, with a smile on their faces.

"Why yes, yes we are!  Did you hear about our daughter?"  They looked upset and the only thing Alaina and Judy could do was hug the couple.  They gently took the woman's arms and Alaina hugged her as Judy followed suit, hugging the man.

A Bit of "My Sixth Grade Graduation" by Dyanna Gajdowski

I woke with a start, my aunt had come in my room to wake me up even though I was so tired and didn't want to get my butt out of the mattress.  When I got up I put on that outfit that my aunt had bought me the pink jacket with the solid white shirt even though there was a small logo in the corner it had seemed just fine.  Then, there was the Capri’s that my aunt had bought me and that started that right off the bat and I still get them even for school.  They were pink with flowers all over them.  Finally I slipped on my black sneakers that my grandmother had gave me.

I gave myself a second to think before going out to the table at my aunt’s house.  I had been living there since I had been in fourth grade when something bad had happened at aunt Staci’s old house, the apartment.  My aunt started calling me out there and I hurried out the bathroom door.  I wanted to get toast and I did, but I needed to hurry off to school.  I didn’t ride the bus that day because it was my graduation of sixth grade and I was excited it was finally happening to me.  I had seen Shania graduating from sixth grade last year but I had seen her two or three days ago when she was in seventh grade, almost eighth grade.

My aunt was going to pick up my grandmother so she could come and see me graduate from sixth grade.  I had been through a lot at my aunt’s house alone that I thought I would be fine through noises and what not.  But, it seems I couldn’t!  I had always had that problem, even when I was a little girl.  People still call me and anal brat because I am a anal brat.  My aunt at one point had 9-10 people in her house alone that it was crowded.  D.J. was in aunt Bonnie’s room outside with Anthony.  Toni was inside o the couch and I was in my own room with Jamie.  As for my aunt and uncle, they were inside their own room together.  Now for my graduating, I had been on the mattress for a couple weeks and I was antsy about leaving this house and going home to live with my mother again.

We were almost ready to go and Tabatha was coming too.  She had to, unless my uncles niece babysat Tabatha.  Which she was glad to and at that point I really didn’t get to know her that much. Once I got to knowing her, she seemed nicer but, at that time I really didn’t know her all that well.  Anyway, about my graduation, I wanted to take a few things with me and I went out the door, at that point it was 7:38AM and I was ready with my clothes on.  The minute I got in the blue Ford Fusion of my aunt’s, she told me that I had to make room for Grandma’s oxygen tank.  At that point she had just gotten out of the hospital, so she needs that portable tank.  The scenery in Cochranton wasn’t really that great, it was more Blah then anything.  “Are we picking my mom up first or last?” I questioned with a smile on my face.  I wasn't really sure until she replied, "We are going to get grandma first and then we will get your mom." I smiled and looked out the window of the car as we passed a lot of trees and houses along with more cars on the pass by to Meadville, where I graduated from Neason Hill Elementary.

We got to my grandmother’s house on time.
